Barry Friends raise £200 for Tenovus

The Barry Friends of Tenovus Committee held their first Whist Drive at Romilly Bowls Club recently, which raising just over £200 for the charity.

Prizes were won by John Coll, Evelyn Dodgson, Pat Moisan-Hill, Glenys Hinton, Dot Davies and Alf Woolcock.

The Whist Drive was the first of many fundraising activities that will take place this year – 2017 is the 50th year that the committee has been together.

On Friday, March 31, the committee will be holding their first quiz of the year, starting at 7.30pm at Barry Athletic Club, Barry Island. Teams of five or six people are welcome to come along and support the evening. There will be a bar and refreshments.
