LLANTWIT MAJOR: Truly it can be said that this is almost two towns in one – for the old medieval area with its narrow streets, oozes history from its very pores, as befits a one time worldwide centre of Celtic Christianity. The ‘new town’ with its neat, modern housing estates provides a sharp contrast, yet somehow the two blend together in pleasing harmony.
